History

Valor Florestal began operations in December 2001, administering forest assets pertaining to UBS Timber Investors, which were acquired from Norske PISA (previously PISA Florestal). Through this negotiation, which at that time was unprecedented and involved over 100,000 hectares of land and 60,000 hectares of forest plantations, Valor Florestal became the first independent Brazilian company in the management of forestry assets in Brazil. Today, the company moves and sells more than 1.3 million cubic meters of wood per year through its 10 operational units across the country.
